How To Make Turkish Coffee
It's easier than you think to make great tasting Turkish Coffee. First, you need to gather your ingredients and equipment. To Start, you will need your coffee, a cezve (cooking pot), your coffee cup and sugar if required.
Add your coffee to the pot, about 2 teaspoons per cup. Then fill your cup with water and add that to the mix. repeat for as many cups as you need. If you want to add sugar, add it now.
Carefully stir the coffee and water together and place the pot over a low heat. slowly bring to a simmer until the foam forms on top. Just before the coffee starts to boil, pour it into the cups, sharing the foam between the cups first, then filling them up with the rest of the coffee.
Turkish Coffee should always be served with water, but other accompaniments are up to you. We reccomend some fresh pistachio Lokum (Turkish Delight), a couple of pieces of Baklava or even some nice chocolates. Above all, Turkish Coffee is best served with good friends.
